Britain’s first production car to be designed by Facebook users has gone on sale. Citroen encouraged users to design their dream C1 – from exterior colours to interior features – through its Facebook page with the most popular configuration promised a spot on the production line. More than 24,000 designs were submitted over April and the result is a sub-100g/km CO2 Citroen C1 Connexion special edition, costing upwards of £9,495. The C1 Connexion’s 1.0i 68bhp petrol engine can deliver 65.7mpg with CO2 emissions of just 99g/km, making it exempt from road tax and the London Congestion Charge. Standard spec includes ABS & EBD, variable power assisted steering, driver’s front passenger’s & front lateral airbags, daytime-running lights, air-con, and front electric windows. However, Facebook users thought their ideal C1 should also feature 14″alloy wheels, dark tinted rear window...
