Renault's Foucher will succeed Koskas as head of EV operations

executive Béatrice Foucher has been tapped to become vice president of the French automaker's electric-vehicle operations, Renault has announced. Foucher will succeed Thierry Koskas, who will end his four-year tenure at the position to run Renault's Argentina operations, Automotive News reported. Foucher started working for Renault in 1989 before moving through customer research and other departments during the ensuing 23 years. She will take over EV operations just prior to the company's launch of its first mass-produced electric vehicle, the Zoe . It's an important launch, as Renault plans to make about 150,000 Zoe vehicles a year and the company expects it to be much more successful in Europe than the Nissan Leaf .
