There have been plenty of celebrities endorsing green cars over the years – but this time, it is the turn of a green car to support a celebrity. Musician Leo the Lion (pictured), formerly of The Streets, will be raising money for The Prince’s Trust by performing 24 gigs in just 24hrs across London. Sounds like a crazy rush? Well, it surely will be: but Leo the Lion will be able to get around that bit faster thanks to a Nissan LEAF. The Japanese carmaker will be providing the musician with three Nissan LEAF electric cars. It was seen as the ideal choice for the challenge because it is not subject to the congestion charge; and it is six times cheaper to fuel than a petrol car – making it a money saver for this charitable effort.
