Approved Misfuel Mitigation Plans Now Allow E15

Stop using corn to make ethanol. That's just like using the energy from 4 gallons of gasoline to make enough hydrogen to drive 40 miles. Instead, use the $2 billion dollars a year currently given to farmers to NOT grow anything on 30 million acres of cropland, to grow Canola on that same acreage (typical yield 20-50 bushels per acre) and to build solar powered mini refineries to press out the oil out of it (typically 2.5 to 3 gallons per bushel) and convert it to biodiesel. With only 100 gallons per acre 'net' production (it takes about 3 gallons per acre to till/plant/cultivate/harvest Canola), we could eliminate about 200,000 barrels of imported oil per day. And its distribution would already be 95% complete by spreading out the mini refineries to every farm, eliminating artificial shortages imposed by the oil companies manipulating the supply.
