Grants for EV chargers at home have been revised to a maximum £900 per applicant following a Govt review:

Up to £9 million of Government money has been set aside to encourage plug-in car owners to install their own recharging facilities at home. Under the new domestic chargepoint scheme, the Government will cover up to £900 or 75% of the total cost of a chargepoint and its installation for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle owners. Drivers with regular access to a plug-in vehicle for work are also able to take advantage of the grants. Transport Minister Baroness Susan Kramer said the scheme is intended to make plug-in car chargers “as commonplace in your home as a plug for your kettle”. She commented: “Uptake of plug-in vehicles is gathering pace and we want to make sure that people thinking about becoming part of this technological revolution have the confidence that they will always have somewhere to charge their car.” ‘Tremendously popular’ This latest scheme follows a £13...
