Nissan LEAF moving forward with autonomous drive #greenenergy

The world's fastest-selling electric car is ready to make another important breakthrough: as the Nissan LEAF makes a crucial step towards developing autonomous drive technologies. President and CEO Carlos Ghosn has taken delivery of the first LEAF vehicle with a semi-autonomous advanced driver assistance system. The idea is to allow the driver to take control of the vehicle at any time. Among the functions to be included in the system are: automatic exit, automatic lane change, lane keeping, automatic deceleration when in congestion on highways, automatic overtaking of slower and stopped vehicles and automatic stopping at red lights. Nissan's hope is that autonomous drive can help it achieve a near zero accident rate in its vehicles.
