Official: Toyota signs up for London Hydrogen Partnership, keeping 2015 H2 target in sight

I understand that Americans have a loyalty to their mastrers. Now I realize the rest of the world is the same. Certainly, the car companies all want to appear to be up on the latest tech, but why would London sign on to this fools errand. Let's see, we could use electricity to charge batteries and drive cars or we can use electricity to make hydrogen that we can use to make electricity to drive cars? Me thinks the added steps (hydrogen production, hydrogen compression and hydrogen transport) make the fuel cell a very inefficient use of electricity. The hurdles with EV and batteries are largely due to the lack of honest effort the car companies are giving the technology. They know they will soon be in an EV commodity war and then they won't be able to compete with their huge useless army of middle management "yes men". Manager!
