Offering mobile data speeds as much as 10 times faster than 3G technology, 4G LTE mobile broadband is about to change the way we stay in touch with each other: and now it is ready to change the way we drive too. That’s because General Motors (GM) has announced the largest deployment of 4G technology in the industry to date: as it bids to deliver a new generation of connectivity between its cars and trucks. The American carmaker made the announcement at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and revealed that most model year 2015 Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac models will feature 4G LTE in both the USA and Canada: with AT&T to provide the connections. It is also expected to announce more supplier and carrier relationships for other regions around the globe in the coming months.
