Elon Musk's attack on "fake" New York Times article prompts lots of Tesla talk

I think it's too early to put the blame on lead-footed driving. The only lead-footed driving we know about right now is in the first segment. And the driver charged the car fully ("charge completed") after that segment and had no range problems in that segment. It would be nice to see more data to see if he leadfooted it in other segments too. Obviously the failure to plug-in in Groton had a big effect too. But whether Tesla is right to blast him for not plugging it in when it said it had sufficient range and there was no convenient charger is (from recent experience) a point people cannot agree on. In the end, is it worse journalism to deviate from Tesla's dictated plan and report what happened or is it to follow Tesla's pre-tested route and create an "independent" report that the car and supercharger network is fine in winter driving? Is it the job of journalists to rubb...
