First network of hydrogen refuelling stations planned for UK: London and the South East is to gain a network of

London and the South East is to gain a network of five hydrogen refuelling stations under a new project backed by the Technology Strategy Board (TSB). The three year London Hydrogen Network Expansion (LHNE) project will seek to install new hydrogen fuelling stations in the South East as well as upgrading the existing network. Each station will use the quick-fill 700 bar refuelling standard which the first market-ready hydrogen-fuelled cars will be able to use. Stations at Millbrook Proving Ground and the Transport for London station at Stratford will offer increased accessibility, while the project will also upgrade the station at Heathrow to 700 bar refuelling, in line with the standard which fuel cell carmakers will require.
