Is shade the answer to skin cancer and obesity?

It doesn't take a genius to know that kids don't like to play on hot playground equipment. Instead, they'll sit in the shade or skip the park altogether in favor or indoor activities like watching the television or playing video games. And you don't need a scientific study to know that hot playgrounds directly expose kids to the sun's rays at a time when it might do the most damage to their skin.
