The Design Stories of 2012 That Will Resonate in 2013

Apparently, I am a Luddite. Whether it was urban planning, cars, air conditioning or insulation, readers complained that I want everyone to live like they did in the 19th century. In fact, I do believe that we have a lot to learn about how to live in a world after oil from those who lived in a world before oil, but with smart phones. The following is a selection of ideas we discussed in 2012, and how they will set us up for 2013. So let's party like it's 1899.
