FedEx Doubles EVs, Adds Other Fuel-Efficient Vehicles
FedEx Express plans to expand its fuel-efficient fleet, doubling its electric vehicle fleet and adding 4,000 other fuel-efficient vehicles, including hybrid-electric, clean diesel and lightweight composite vehicles. Photo: FedEx Express FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx that handles time-sensitive shipments, announced it will double its electric vehicle fleet and add more than 4,000 new fuel-efficient vehicles to its conventional fleet. In the next two months, the company will place 24 new all-electric vehicles in service in New York City, Chicago and Memphis. With 19 all-electric vehicles already operating in Los Angeles, Paris and London, the new vehicles will more than double its all-electric fleet to 43 vehicles.
