Snap election: Green economy braces for further delays to key policy plans

The green economy is bracing itself for many more months of policy uncertainty following Prime Minister Theresa May's shock announcement that she intends to call a general election for June 8. With it looking highly likely May will secure support from two-thirds of MPs in the Commons tomorrow, the government is set to schedule a snap election in a bid to strengthen its negotiating hand ahead of the Brexit negotiations.
