Yes, you heard right! This weekend it is forecasted that Penzance will be swarmed by Pirates in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record. The pirate record breaking stunt is being organised as part of the annual Golowan Festival which takes place in Penzance from 18th -23rd June and this year the theme of the festival is, yes you guessed it, Pirates! Everyone is invited to take part, all you need to do is dress up like a pirate and turn up at Penzance Promenade at 1pm this Sunday, the 26th June. There will be a £1 entry fee to take part which will go towards raising funds for the Golowan Festival, Golowan Maritime Festival and the Jubilee Pool. The Pirate record count will take place on the Promenade at 1pm and there’ll be lots going on to entertain the masses.
