The governor said the delay would allow time for completion of a state-authorized health study. [BBC] New research indicates the Grand Canyon is far older than currently believed; a new process for measuring radioactive decay in minerals form the canyon puts its age at 70 million years, not the five- to six-million-year estimate currently used.
