Do environmentalists need shrinks?: via @grist

I think environmentalists can be optimists, too. Most of us know "Save the Earth" is a bit of an egotistical proclamation; we'll be gone long before earth will! I'm willing to bet most environmentalists have a more realistic view of life than most; they see the interconnections to events and humans (ie the Ecology) better than most, and are therefore better prepared with the careers and places to live that they chose. Environmentalists know much more about "living in harmony" with earth than most. True; we see the sad truth of the reckless degradation better than most; but we also have a better view of the solutions. The root of all environmental bad news, as most environmentalists know, is the 200,000 more people on the planet, per day.
