New Govt policy on waste & recycling is weak - needs proper targets for reducing "blag bag waste" #DT @wwwfoecouk

I am disappointed by the Government's new waste policy for England, particularly the lack of any new goals or targets. I urge you to revisit and strengthen the waste policy. In particular please set a goal to halve England's household 'black-bag' waste by 2020, with a similar goal for business waste. This goal is supported by a broad cross-section of the economy including the Federation of Small Businesses, the Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority, Unilever UK, Coca Cola Enterprises, Sainsbury's, B&Q and WWF. This would create jobs in recycling and reuse and a supply of valuable raw materials, and save money on waste disposal.
