Greens not happy as Boris doubles the price of his bikes!

The Mayor of London has unveiled plans to increase bus, train and cycle hire fares by an average of 4.2 per cent from the start of next year to help pay for a series of infrastructure upgrades, prompting fears commuters will be discouraged from embracing low carbon transport options. Transport for London (TfL) today confirmed Zone 1-6 single fares will increase by 20 pence during peak hours from 2 January 2013.
