A Deeper Look at an Energy Analysis Raises Big Questions By ANDREW C. REVKIN [2:55 p.m. | Updated A lead author has defended the report below.] Steve McIntyre of Climateaudit.org has helpfully pointed out an important problem with the much publicized Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change special report on the role of renewable energy sources in cutting emissions of greenhouse gases in coming decades. Mark Lynas, a longtime climate campaigner and author, not only credits McIntyre for digging in, but excoriates the climate panel himself (more below). (Hat tip to Keith Kloor .)
