Health Care Reform Snakes Through Court of Appeals

With a myriad of conflicting decisions at the district court level and early implementation receiving generally positive marks, both Republicans and the press have backed off open hostility toward Obamacare. But those decisions are now in the appellate realm where early reports indicate the health care reform law is on its way to surviving constitutional review. A three-judge panel in the case brought by 26 mostly Republican states had oral arguments last week and at least one judge dismissed opponents' main argument against the individual mandate straight away.
