'Water Guru' Peter Gleick on the new role of business
Peter Gleick is the co-founder of the Pacific Institute which conducts research and policy analysis at the intersection of water systems, climate risk and sustainable development. He discusses how companies can engage in more sustainable water use and accountability, and the role of technology in providing a solution our worsening water woes at VERGE 15 . "Every company — no matter who they are — ultimately uses water in some fashion or another somewhere along their supply chain. In the past it’s been okay to ignore that” says Gleick. He argues that current conditions of climate destabilization and water scarity have changed that conversation.
