Stair of the week is a DIY spiral made out of plywood

TreeHugger has followed the work of Ben Uyeda for years, from his design work at ZeroEnergy to FreeGreen; now he is creative director of HomeMade Modern , a marvellous resource where the “goal is to introduce ideas that aren't just about acquiring objects but about managing resources in a way that's useful and accommodates changing lifestyles.” His latest project, at time of this writing not even up on his site yet, is this spiral staircase made almost entirely of plywood. (There is a steel pole up the middle.) Almost done cutting out my new stairs!
