How Cool! A 100% Solar-Powered Laptop

Laptops have many advantages over desktop computers. Provided there's a wireless network available, you can shuffle out of your office and flop down on a deck chair with your laptop to continue reading your favorite blog in the sunshine and fresh air. Until your battery dies and you realize there's no power outlet, that is. Talk about a buzz kill! But Discovery News reports that the days of recharging our laptops may be numbered. At Fujitsu's 2011 Design Competition, an industrial designer named Andrea Ponti introduced plans for a mobile computer that's 100% solar-powered. According to Designboom.com , the sleek "Luce" laptop has one solar panel "located on the top, and a second one is just under the transparent touch-keyboard."
