Dani King backs schools Going for Gold At Sustrans we think it's a national scandal that so few children are able to enjoy the benefits of daily exercise and the freedom of cycling to school. Our new report Going for Gold (pdf) highlights a massive opportunity to change this. With our Olympic-inspired kids keen to get on their bikes, now is the time for the government to reduce obesity by helping children cycle more. Health experts agree that the easiest way to increase activity in children is to include walking and cycling in their daily routine. But it won't happen by itself - with only 2% of kids currently cycling regularly, much more needs to be done.
