Why do you just assume that human life does not begin at conception which is when cell division starts? Why should location such as implantation in the uterus be the definition of personhood? As far as I know all birth control can act in three ways, as a spermicide, by making the vaginal environment hostile to sperm, as a contraceptive, by preventing ovulation, and as an abortifacient by preventing implantation after a child is conceived. The likelihood of which action will be taken to prevent pregnancy depends on the hormonal composition of the particular birth control pill but all birth control pills have the potential to act in all three ways.
