The Sugar Wars Are Heating Up: Sugar Manufacturers Sue High Fructose Corn Syrup Industry

HFCS is profoundly different from regular sugar in how it affects your cells. Sure fruit and fructose are fine in naturally occuring fruits and vegetables. But in nature you never encounter the incredibly high concentrations of HFCS found in sodas, jams, 'maple' syrups and other sweetners, what happens is your cellular factories and mitochondria become confused about the level of available energy and will no longer process it correctly. This first leads to tiredness, lethargy, obesity (unused sugar is stored as fat) and other incipient Diabetes II symptoms, but eventually will result in ketodiatosis and pancreatic shutdown.
