Tear down freeways, build up bikeways, save your city's health and economy: Recommend!!!

@huggybear67 I didn't comment here, just to joust with you in the game of rhetoric, but if you want to go that route... If we are to have Federal, state or local officials listen to us, and our great ideas, let's try to be reasonable about it. Converting major highways to the biking equivalent is a cute idea and a good one, but it's not reasonable at all. On the other hand, implementing a train system that could complement surface street bike lanes, thus connecting suburban bike riders to urban workplaces, and other economic venues. At a time in our country when there are too many facing unemployment, what better way to implement such a system, that would not only be effective, but would provide tons of jobs. That makes a load of sense to anyone. You're right not all engineers are perfect, but they need to be given the opportunity to progressively build a better future for...
