@plumvalley Yes we will disagree. I don't deny that you and your friends (you don't say how many) may use rbGH without problems, but that is simply anecdotal information. The overall studies clearly show rbGH use does increase rates of mastitis and use of antibiotics to treat the mastitis. Indeed, the package insert that comes with the product explicitly states that POSILAC use is associated with increased SCC counts, increased rates of mastitis, and increased use of antibiotics to treat mastitis. So, you may disagree with the package insert (if you use POSILAC, I'm sure you've seen it), but the information on it is indeed based on science. Judging by your comment that all farms under 500 cows are "small farms," you clearly don't know much about the structure of the US dairy industry. I wonder what state you're in; I'd guess a western one where the dairy herds can be large...
