The USA didn't invade Iraq to let oil production wane. Levels may not be as high as expected yet, but believe me, America is doing all they can to reach the 4 million barrel mark. I have friends who were having trouble finding jobs in America and several have gone to Iraq to work for Brown and Root, which is basically a Haliburton subsidiary. If the Iraqi Engineers are not willing to vie for Corporate American Imperialism, then they'll just hire them from other parts of the world. We need to remember America built the largest US embassy in the world right in the heart of Baghdad. It is 4 square miles big ! Obama has no intentions of ever bringing all the troops home. There will be at least 20,000 American military and civilians in Baghdad for many years to come. For whatever it means, American presence in the middle east has been cemented because of the Iraq invasion. And ...
