Shocking news from Brazil - but the fight to save forests goes on

Despite campaigning by WWF and other environmentalists, Brazil’s parliament has voted in favour of relaxing the country’s Forest Law, making it easier for more rainforest to be destroyed for agricultural use. The proposal was carried by 410 votes to 63. It’s bad news, we can’t deny it - bad for precious forests and unique biodiversity, and bad for the global battle with climate change. But none of us are giving up the fight against this backward step.
