A Message From On High: The Vatican Urges People to Take Climate Science Seriously

Let's give credit where credit is due. While the Catholic Church certainly is lacking in many areas, it is also one of the more socially benevolent religions. Couple that with the Pope's support of science in regard to climate change I would say it appears there is some evolvement within the church. If he can affect at least some positive change, I applaud him. I agree that he should have also argued the need for common sense approachs to the existing population explosion. Changes like; using birth control, exercise control of the desire to have more than two children per couple. And, the government should stop rewarding families who have more than two kids through tax crediting. I'm sick of those who think it is their duty to over-populate the earth or spread their seed to ensure generations of a particular blood line.
