Institute in India Offers Master of Social Entrepreneurship Program

A leading educational institution in Southern India, the Deshpande Education Trust (DET), has launched a Master of Social Entrepreneurship program. The program, which has been launched in affiliation with the Karnatak University in Dharwad, Karnataka, will provide an advanced learning opportunity for graduates who are keen to make a professional career in social entrepreneurship. The program will include 25 subjects divided into four semesters spread over two years. Graduates will receive training in finance, marketing and human resource development with a social entrepreneurial bent of mind. Emphasis will also be placed on the overall entrepreneurial development and communication skills of the students. The program director, Neelam Maheshwari, says: "We will be the first in north Karnataka to start social entrepreneurship course and we are already receiving good response ...
