9 Large Companies Pledge To Go 100% Renewable

Ah, ha! Now it becomes clear. Rather than sucking money out of the economy, investments in low-carbon strategies pay off — big time, as Dick Cheney was fond of saying. That may be why the move among major financial organizations to divest themselves of investments in fossil fuels and extractive technologies is gaining steam. To date, 436 institutions representing $2.6 trillion in assets have pledged to stop investing in fossil fuels for either moral or financial reasons.
