1 in 5 Americans Admit to Not Believing in Fairy Tales | Care2 Causes

I can't say I was ever Christian-I was just sent to Episcopal Sunday school as a kid because my parents made me go. They never went to church themselves-Dad stayed home, and Mom sat in the car and knitted or read a book or whatever while my sister and I sat in dim church basement classrooms and struggled with the lessons. And I say "struggled"-I was always getting in trouble for daring to question the teacher and not being satisfied with merely being quoted Scripture, or disagreeing with some aspect of Christianity. Butting heads with the minister at age 9 over whether or not animals could go to heaven because of having souls (he said no, I said they do TOO have souls, or I don't want to go to heaven either!), and then learning about religions and their reverence for nature as well as having Goddesses as well as Gods.
