Study Finds Staph in Half of Supermarket Meat:

I am sooooo glad I am a vegetarian! I do not trust ANY meat products. There are more and more cases of drug resistant ailments popping up daily because of the overuse of antibiotics. I took 3 college courses in Microbiology when I was studying for my MS, and you would not believe the contamination risks in our food supply. One problem being that the public takes for granted what they consume will adhere to government standards, but, producers are not that conscientious when it comes to their products, and even the markets open the door for additional contamination. Check out the display cases - many are not very sanitary. It falls to the consumer to carefully prepare everything they put in their bodies. There are many organisms that can cause illness in vegetables as well as meat, but, I feel that where vegetables are purchased, thorough cleaning, and diligent attention to...
