Make Your Own Robotic Hand with 3D Printing

We love 3D printing here at TreeHugger. The technology gives people the ability to make exactly what they need, when they need it, with no waste and without parts having to be shipped from far away manufacturers. We also love robots (who doesn't love robots?). So, you can imagine the geek-out that the 3D-printed robot hand in the video below has caused. According to the HackedGadgets post, the robotic hand and forearm were designed and printed on a 3D Touch printer by a user named hairygael. The joints are filled with servo motors and an Arduino platform and keyboard control the thing. The creator has some kinks to work out, as he shows on the video, but that makes this robotic hand no less cool.
