Wind turbine suffers catastrophic failure; no one is irradiated

Agreed. Less catastrophic. But there are little known problems with colossal windmills that the industry doesn’t want coming to your attention. A big wind company wanted to put 34 Megawatts worth of wind power, big turbines, 400’ blades, on our mountains. But: 1) Those blades throw large chunks of ice as far as 1,000’ downwind. Aside from the obvious risk to people and our livestock there is the detail that this would kill our forests and our maple sugar bush. Part of what we do on our farm is sustainable forestry. Throwing big chunks of ice at the trees kills not just the trees but our farm. 2) The company refused to setup a decommissioning fund. This meant that at the end of the lease (30 years) we would be stuck with those windmills on our land. The town would then tax us on the value of the windmills and the IRS would tax us as if we had been given those windmills at f...
