GOP Wants To U.S. NAVY To Stop Buying Biofuels | Care2 Causes

The Pentagon was the first organ of the US government to recognized, at least internally, that Hubbard's Peak was a reality, and a very real issue to be dealt with in their planning process. An internal report has recognized that Peak Oil is here and that fossil fuels will become more and more scarce, and expensive. In addition to fueling vehicles to perform their operational requirements, the declining fossil fuel production will lead to a major destabilization of the world as a whole. If you doubt what a nation with a large military will do to protect it's supply of essential resources, just look back to Imperial Japan. Their wars of expansion in the 1930s were all about obtaining resources that they had a limited supply of. In response, the US, then the largest exporter of oil to Japan cut off that supply.
