THEY may not have known. But I did. And so did a lot of other people. I am not saying the dictatorships should have stayed in place. But Egypt was a freer country before the Arab Spring than it is now for women. The muslim brotherhood will implement Sharia and that is NEVER in the best interest of women and never will be. I am sure those young women a year ago had high hopes and I am so sorry for what is coming for them. As sorry as I am at what is coming for the women of Afghanistan when the Taliban takes control of the government there the day after the last coalition solider leaves. Karzai will join them or be destroyed and that country will once again be the least safe place to be a woman on the planet. It is the way of extremist Islam and moderate Islam is only moderate until it becomes a majority, then Sharia comes and that is not moderate in any way and never will b...
