An interviewer once asked what superpower I would pick if given the opportunity to do so, and I was gifted with a very clear vision of my superhero self in action. I would ask for the ability to transform fear into love. I saw myself in a very simple apartment, high enough up in the building to overlook a bustling city. Mostly, I wrote and studied in that little apartment, but sometimes people would come when they felt overcome by their fear, and I would (somehow) command that fear to return to love. That person would carry on, spreading love, as I believe it is our nature to do. I also saw myself encountering fear out in the world, and I did the “thing” without people even realizing it. In another scene, I did it to a large group of people who suddenly stopped fighting. They stood and looked at one another for a moment, confused about the shift. It was fun and easy for me...
