Obama: “We can’t just drill our way to lower gas prices”

In the context of rising gas prices, and on the heels of a policy speech in which President Obama preemptively critiqued the Republican Party election-year energy strategy, Mr. Obama again piled on the now familiar Republican energy plan in his weekly address. "I'll save you the suspense," Mr. Obama said of the GOP three-pronged strategy. "Step one is to drill, step two is to drill, and step three is to keep drilling." In stead of trying to drill our way to lower gas prices, the president called for an 'all of the above energy strategy' — a theme he sounded in The State of the Union, and a theme taken straight from the pages of the Republican playbook.
