Christians, Muslims Unite at Nigeria Protest | Care2 Causes

Protests where Muslims and Christians are coming together are happening everywhere in Nigeria, not just the south. Many families have Muslims and Christians in them. Most Muslims are as opposed to Boko Haram as well. Boko Haram is a fanatic fringe group and does not represent the sentiment of 99% of Nigerians. There are other groups mimicking Boko Haram's activities to get more security money from the government and cause general disruption for political gain. Though, it is called a fuel subsidy, there really isn't one. Many economists have proven that it fuel only costs N34/litre, though the population is charged N65/litre already. The removal of a fake subsidy will do nothing more than benefit the wealthy kleptocratic government and foreign interests and do absolutely nothing for everyday Nigerians.
