Motel 6: Sustainability Means We’ll No Longer Leave the Light on For You

ECPAT has developed a Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism (www.thecode.org). When a company signs it, it agrees to take five steps to prevent sex trafficking of children from taking place on their premises. Accor has signed this agreement for most of its brands, and is doing a wonderful job in implementing it. They are seen as leaders in this field. But there is one EXCEPTION. They have not implemented the Code of Conduct in their Motel 6 brand. We would love to see them do so. Carol Smolenski, Executive Director, ECPAT-USA (www.ecpatusa.org)
