Artist's Luminous Botanical Diagrams Reveal Nature's Inner Intelligence (Video)

Botanical diagrams have a long history in science, but you've probably never seen scientific diagrams as luminous as these before. Created by Japanese new media artist Macoto Murayama , these digital prints -- titled "Inorganic Flora" -- are actually a combination of scientific study, new technology and artistic interpretation. Recently exhibited in Tokyo's Frantic Gallery , Murayama's prints were grouped into precise botanical diagrams layered with quantitative information, while the other group was categorized as "botech art" featuring almost painterly pieces glowing with neon vibrancies, emphasizing symmetry, depth and colour.
