Business secretary Vince Cable today outlined the first priorities for the £3bn Green Investment Bank, which is expected to funnel up to £15bn of private funds into low-carbon projects over the next four years. As widely anticipated , the five initial focus areas for investment are: offshore wind; commercial and industrial waste processing and recycling; energy from waste; non-domestic energy efficiency; and supporting the government's flagship Green Deal programme.
