Green business concessions in Osborne's Autumn Statement - Business Green

Green groups may have dubbed the government's Autumn Statement "a polluter's charter", but a number of businesses have welcomed measures designed to reform taxes and encourage investment. Today's speech by Chancellor George Osborne contained little to hearten green campaigners, instead providing a £250m rebate to protect energy intensive industries from the effects of carbon policies, removing a planned increase on fuel duty, and unveiling a package of road building projects as part of a new National Infrastructure Plan.
