According to a report by the US Department of Energy (November 2, 2011), the number of US solar related jobs are on the rise. The report noted that over 100,000 workers in the United States are employed in the Solar Workforce with a 6.8% annual growth rate. With numbers like that, it makes sense to make the assumption that more and more people around the United States and around the world are adopting solar energy for generating clean fossil-fuel free power. Solar energy panels have the potential to be utilized in such a way that can power a significant portion of any country. For example, the heat map picture above, shows that regions in Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico can generate a huge potential of clean renewable energy.
