India's Solar IPP Azure Power Collects $13.6M From Germany's DEG

The expansion of the solar market in India is a very good thing. But if we do not implement every possible consideration to enhance our efforts to address global warming, in conjunction with these solar efforts, we will have wasted billions of dollars for very little actual gain. Solar collectors naturally create a measurable cooling potential, in that they collect solar energy to be converted into electricty, while also creating shade over the ground, which would otherwise continue to radiate that thermal energy into the atmosphere. The shade created in desert regions, by such elevated solar collectors, could potentially create an environment where crops or other vegetation can be grown under the solar collectors, thus enhansing the cooling potential of the given solar plant, substancially.
