Treasury confirms £200m of “introductory” Green Deal enticements

The Treasury has confirmed it will provide £200m of "new and additional" funding as an introductory offer to help drive demand for the planned Green Deal energy efficiency scheme. Officials said the new funding should help convince businesses to accelerate their plans to develop Green Deal services by providing reassurance that demand for the scheme will be in place as soon as it launches next autumn.
